Day 1             Kuta/Lombok-Sekongkang/Sumbawa        175km     [The tour can be adjusted to start in Bali]
After breakfast, we leave Kuta and follow a scenic coastal road, passing through small fishing villages along the way. After approximately 2.5 hours, we arrive at Kayangan Port and board the ferry for a two-hour crossing to Sumbawa. From the moment we arrive, Sumbawa feels completely different from Lombok. Far less affected by tourism, the island immediately welcomes us with a sense of peace and tranquility—and, most importantly, very little traffic. We continue south, riding through a mangrove area before stopping for lunch at a restaurant with stunning ocean views. From there, we continue to our beachfront bungalow accommodation. In the afternoon, Sekongkang Beach is the perfect place to enjoy a colorful sunset and experience the feeling of an “Endless Summer.” And, of course, a cold sundowner is always available to complete the experience.
Day 2             Sekongkang - Sumbawa Besar/Sumbawa       210km
We leave early in the morning to cover the long stage ahead. Our route winds through dense forests and tropical jungle, along deserted beaches, and beside rivers as we make our way across the southern part of the island towards Lunyuk—the only settlement within an 80-kilometre radius. After a refreshment break at a local convenience store, the route becomes more challenging, with plenty of climbs and descents through the highlands. A short off-road section adds an extra touch of adventure before we continue towards civilization. We pass Sumbawa Besar on our left and ride the final 20 kilometres to our beachfront accommodation, located directly opposite the beautiful island of Moyo.
Day 3             Moyo Island          [Riding Day Off]
After breakfast, we take a short boat trip to a nearby island for a day of snorkeling and relaxation. Enjoy a leisurely beach walk while a delicious fresh fish barbecue is prepared for lunch.
Day 4             Sumbawa Besar - Labuan Jambu          115km
A late start gives us time to enjoy a relaxing massage or simply unwind by the pool. After lunch, the next 100-plus kilometres pass quickly beneath our wheels. Our final stop of the day gives us the opportunity to taste and compare coffee from different regions of Indonesia. With just 9 kilometres left to ride, we continue to our accommodation for the night—a relatively new homestay conveniently located not far from the jetty for tomorrow morning’s boat trip.
Day 5           Labuan Jambu - Calabai                  160km

We leave at 3:30 a.m. by boat from the jetty just 100 metres from our homestay. After watching the fishermen at work, we may have the unforgettable opportunity to swim with whale sharks—the largest fish in the world. Back on land around 9:00 a.m., we enjoy a late breakfast before continuing east along Sumbawa’s island highway towards Calabai, a small town on the slopes of Mount Tambora. Along the way, we ride through open pastures with free-roaming horses, cattle, and water buffaloes, while Mount Tambora remains visible on the horizon. After a long day on the road, we relax at our homestay with a cold beer and a delicious home-cooked dinner or local sate.
Day 6           Calabai - Bima       225km
An early start takes us around the northeastern side of Mount Tambora, riding mostly on paved roads with a few optional off-road sections and even a possible river crossing. With dramatic cliffs and beaches on one side and the mighty Tambora massif on the other, we continue along the Flores Sea coastline through remote villages and authentic rural landscapes. Depending on our schedule, we may visit Bidadari Waterfall and climb an abandoned lighthouse for spectacular 360-degree views. Our final destination is Bima, where we check into a hotel in the heart of the city.
Day 7           Bima - Bima       160km
Since we stay at the same hotel, we can leave our luggage behind and begin the East Island Loop. Leaving Bima to the northeast, we follow small roads along Bima Bay towards Sangiang, the heart of the local boat-building industry. After visiting the boat builders and taking in views of the impressive Sangeang Api volcano across the strait, we continue towards Sape, the easternmost town of Sumbawa. Along the way, we stop at scenic viewpoints and ride through authentic coastal villages. Lunch and time to relax are planned at a beachfront dive resort, with the option to snorkel before we ride back to Bima—approximately 60 km.
Day 8           Bima - Hu`u/Lakey       100km
Most of today’s approximately 100 km ride follows the main road, so some truck and bus traffic should be expected. We stop for lunch at a local warung in Lakey. Famous for its surf breaks, Lakey offers a relaxed atmosphere, with beachside shacks and warungs perfect for unwinding and enjoying the evening.
Day 9           Hu`u/Lakey - Sumbawa Besar       225km
A full day of riding lies ahead. We follow small side roads through rice paddies and fishing villages before returning to the highway at Soriutu. After crossing the scenic hilly region once again, we stop for lunch before continuing along the Trans-Nusa Highway. Since we already know the route from a few days earlier, the kilometres pass quickly beneath our wheels. Our accommodation for the night is a city hotel in Sumbawa Besar.
Day 10           Sumbawa Besar - Senaru       170km
A full day of riding lies ahead. We follow small side roads through rice paddies and fishing villages before returning to the highway at Soriutu. After crossing the scenic hilly region once again, we stop for lunch before continuing along the Trans-Nusa Highway. Since we already know the route from a few days earlier, the kilometres pass quickly beneath our wheels. Our accommodation for the night is a city hotel in Sumbawa Besar.
Day 11           Senaru - Kuta/Lombok       145km       [The tour can be adjusted to finish in Bali]
In the morning, we visit the nearby Sendang Gile Waterfall before getting back on our bikes and following Lombok’s northern coastline towards Mataram, the island’s capital. High above the ocean, scenic viewpoints offer breathtaking views of palm-fringed beaches and the famous Gili Islands. We continue to Senggigi for a beachfront lunch before riding the final kilometres to Kuta, where our adventure comes to an end.
