Off-Road Adventure from Bali to East Java

Day 1 Seminyak - Gilimanuk - Kalibaru approx. 210km - 30% off-road
Early in the morning at 5 o'clock we leave already for Gilimanuk in west Bali where We will take ferry crossing to Java.
We have to pass the busiest part of the whole trip, main road Denpasar - Gilimanuk at this time of the day there is only little traffic.
Once in Java and after crossing Banyuwangi we will begin to ride along dirt tracks and secondary roads until lunch time, very close to our hotel.

Day 2 Kalibaru - Jember - Tumpak Sewu Waterfall approx. 190 km - 50% off-road
Departure at 8:00 am towards Sudomukti, south of Bromo, today we will ride much of the day along the southeast coast of Java. We will spend the night very close to the Tumpak Sewu waterfall.

Day 3 Tumpak Sewu Waterfall - Bromo approx. 110km - 60% off-road
Departure at 8:00 am
After breakfast We will visit the amazing Tumpak Sewu waterfall. From here we will head towards the Bromo crater, entering it through the Malang area.
We will cross the crater through the sea sand to get our hotel on the other side of the volcano.

Day 4 Bromo - Madakaripura Waterfall - Jember approx 153km - 50% off-road
Departure at 5.30 am to see the sunrise over Bromo, return to the hotel for breakfast and head to Madakaripura waterfall.
From here, crossing mountain tracks to the city of Jember. The last section will be on asphalt.

Day 5 Jember - Sukamade (approx. 120km - 70% offroad)
Departure at 8:30 am.
First section is asphalt and then We’ll take dirt tracks that take us to the Meru Betiri National Park.
Today we will have the most beautiful and technical day of off-road driving. We will cross rivers, jungle, we will ride along beaches...
Becoming night we will begin the 15-minutes walk to Sukamade beach.
The sands of this enormous beach are the meeting point for large specimens of sea turtles that come to lay their eggs.

Day 6 Sukamade - Pulau Merah - Ijen (approx. 160km - 35% off-road)
Departure at 8:30 am
We will leave the National Park riding back same path previous day. From there we will go to Pulau Merah beach where we will have lunch. In the afternoon we will head to Banyuwangi crossing coffee plantations and teak forests.

Day 7 Ijen - Ketapang - Gilimanuk - Lovina (approx. 154km 100% asphalt)
Departure from the hotel around 3 am to see the “Blue Fire” inside the Ijen volcano (this trekking will take us between 4-5 hours and is not always allowed due to gas emissions) return to the hotel to have breakfast, collect luggage and head towards the harbour to take ferry back to Bali.
The blue fire: During the early morning, a natural phenomenon of incomparable beauty occurs inside the Kawah Ijen volcano, the blue fire. Flames of an intense blue color is showing from interior of the earth, making their way between narrow cracks, illuminating the scene inside the volcano in an intense blue color. To be able to contemplate this visual spectacle, it is essential to start the visit from the hotel at 03:00 in the morning.
In the afternoon and already in Bali, we will visit the Banjar hot spring pools, where we will take a relaxing bath very close to the hotel.

Day 8 Lovina - Munduk Waterfall - Pura Batukaru - Jatiluwi - Seminyak (approx. 150km - 30% off-road)
Departure from hotel around 8.30 am. We leave Lovina beach to climb the mountain towards Munduk. First stop to visit Munduk waterfall. From here we will head to Pura Batukaru along secondary roads and dirt tracks.
After visiting the temple we will cross the Jatiluwih rice terraces, here we will stop for lunch and we will set off towards our final destination, Seminyak where our tour ends.
Departure from hotel around 8.30 am. We leave Lovina beach to climb the mountain towards Munduk. First stop to visit Munduk waterfall. From here we will head to Pura Batukaru along secondary roads and dirt tracks.
