Day 1 Kuta/Bali – Senaru 170 km
Our tour starts early in the morning. We pass Bali’s at this time seemingly deserted capital Denpasar eastward. It’s a 50km-ride to the harbour Padang Bai where we board the ferry to Lombok. After 5 hours on the ferry and a refreshment stop at a nearby convenience store we turn northward and follow the coastline bypassing Lombok’s capital Mataram. After our lunch break in Senggigi and some more overlooks with view to the “famous infamous” Gilis we follow the ring road direction east. The streets getting smaller, the mountains getting higher – we get closer to our destination of today. Senaru, a mountain village on the slopes of the Rinjani volcano, will be our home for tonight. Dependent on our arrival time there could be the possibility for a quick jump under the nearby waterfall Sidang Gile.

Day 2 Senaru - Gili Kondo 60 km
Back on sea level we ride along the black-sand north coast to a small fishermen village where we start a boat ride. We visit a mangrove area and we land on a sandbar amidst the ocean. White sand, turquoise water and the mountains of Sumbawa in the background – a postcard pic. Now it’s time for picknick at Gili Kondo and there is also the occasion for swimming and snorkeling. Once back at the harbour our hotel is just some hundred meters away.

Day 3 Gili Kondo – Tanjung Ringgit 150 km
After breakfast we ride some warm-up kilometers before we turn left to the mountains. A quite curvy and partly steep road leads up to highest pass of Lombok, the Sembalun Pass. From app 1500m asl it offers a breath-taking view to the surrounding mountains and valleys. Time for a coffee and some photos. Some kilometers downhill and we are back on sea level. Passing the small harbour town Labuan Haji and some fishermen villages we approach Tanjung Ringgit, the peninsula in the South-east. A last stop to get some refreshment and then we have just few km to the well-known Pink Beach and the lighthouse. Also, the cliffs are just a short walk away. Last leg of the stage are the few kilometers to our accommodation.

Day 4 Tanjung Ringgit – Kuta/Lombok 125 km
We leave the peninsula northward and pass 2 water reservoirs on our way to the southern slopes of the Rinjani mountains, known for its waterfalls. There we will have our lunch break. On backstreets along rice fields and other agriculture areas we come closer again to the south coast and to Kuta/Lombok, not to mix up with the same called town in Bali but now getting famous for its MotoGp Race course. At late afternoon there would be the possibility for a beach walk or just to stroll around in this small town.

Our day starts after breakfast from your hotel. The first goal is a traditional Sasak village, just 10k away from Kuta. The next target will be Selong Belanak, a white sand beach app 20 km west of Kuta. After a short break there we continue direction west. Small curvy tarmac roads lead up and down through the hilly landscape. There are several viewpoints where we stop for taking photos. If there is still enough time left when reaching the northern part of the peninsula we will do a detour to the most western point of Lombok and visit the lighthouse there and the so called Desert Point, a famous surfer spot. Along the coastline we make our way to our hotel.
